Relentlessly Pursuing Moral and Academic Excellence

Our History

Zion Global Academy, Ofatedo-Osogbo, is a co-educational group of schools comprising the Crèche, Nursery, Primary and High Schools. The schools were established on 16 August, 2010 by Pastor and Mrs Hezekiah Olasunkanmi Okediji. The Ministry of Education, Osun State, gave approval to run the Nursery School on 15 July,2013; and by 15 April, 2015, all the Schools were approved to run as Zion Global Nursery/Primary School and Zion Global High School.

The founders and proprietors of the schools, Pastor and Mrs Hezekiah Olasunkanmi Okediji, are trained, seasoned, versatile and dedicated educators and retired principals of secondary schools from the educational services of both Oyo and Osun States of Nigeria, West Africa. They were actively involved in the Primary and Secondary education from being classroom teachers to becoming principals of secondary schools for a total of more than 67 years together.

These seasoned educational administrators have been observing the fallen standard of education and low/poor quality of education (from the primary to the tertiary level), over the years with a great concern. Their observation of Nigeria's education system has revealed some of the responsible factors. Few of them are listed below:

  • Poor learning attitudes of pupils and students.
  • Unmotivated teachers.
  • Examination malpractice.
  • Quality education are not affordable, and consequently, not available to the average citizen

Zion Global Academy was borne of the burden and vision to ensure that good and quality education is made available to the average citizen at reasonably affordable price. This can be achieved by conscientiously addressing the above mentioned factors and some other identified ills of our education system. We, at Zion Global Academy, have been working relentlessly and diligently, right from the inception, to make sure our students are given qualitative moral and. academic education.

Our pupils and students are always taught and encouraged to work hard and diligently. Every one of our teachers and students is aware of the fact that examination malpractice is a 'big' sin in our schools and must avoid it by all means. We have zero tolerance to examination malpractice. We set high academic and moral standards for our pupils and students.

To God be all the glory, our students have been working hard and performing excellently in both internal and external examinations (Primary School Leaving Certificate, BECE, WASSCE, NECOSSCE, UTME, etc) over the years. Many of our students are currently studying various courses in the universities and other higher institutions.
